The story of the film revolves around an honest man who is a law abiding citizen. One day fate doesn’t support him and he is falsely accused of a crime he did not commit. He is then sentences to a long prison sentence. Meanwhile the judge meets a man who is a criminal but a look-a-like of the honest man. The look-a-like now takes the place of the honest man in jail, as he is used to getting in and out of jail.
The film is directed by Raj Sippy and produced by Monika Padhal. The music is composed by Anand Milind. The star cast includes Mithun Chakraborty, Varsha Usgaonkar,Suman lata,Jamuna, Suresh Oberoi,Shakti Kapoor,Pankaj Dheer,Iqbal Durrani,Satyen Kappu,Javed Khan,Rajesh Puri,Jugnu,Raza Murad, Amrita Pal, Shreepradha, Jamuna and Anjana Mumtaz.
