Hasmukh Patel is a devoted Gujarati who despises people eating non-veg food and drinking alcohol. He is a widower living with his mother and two daughters. Meanwhile a loud and boisterous Punjabi family comes to stay in their neighborhood. They eat non-veg and drink alcohol, which causes a rift between the Guggi Tandon and Hasmukh Patel. At one of Hasmukh daughter’s wedding, Guggi organizes a dance troupe to perform, which offends the groom’s father and he calls off the wedding. Ghuggi them apologizes and takes the responsibility of the performance. This warms things between the Tandons and Patels.
To make matters worse, Patel’s younger daughter falls in love with Ghuggi’s son. However the former dislikes Punjabis and thus rejects the marriage. The couple have to now convince him to agree to it. The film is directed by Sanjay Chhel, and is produced by Bharat Patel. The music is composed by Lalit Pandit. The screenplay and story is written Sanjay Chhel. The star cast includes Rishi Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Vir Das, Payal Ghosh, Prem Chopra and Shilpa Shinde.
