“Pon Ondru Kanden” is a 2024 Tamil romantic musical comedy film written and directed by V. Priya. Jyoti Deshpande and Yuvan Shankar Raja produced the movie under Jio Studios and YSR Films, starring Ashok Selvan, Vasanth Ravi, and Aishwarya Lekshmi. It was released on March 15, 2024, and is a romantic comedy and nostalgia-based movie.

The story is about "Shiva and Sai", who were enemies since childhood. Both of them had a crush on a girl named "Thiripurasunthari" while they were students. But when Shiva got a kiss from her first, Sai was enraged, and this created a lifelong enmity.

Years on, they meet again at a college reunion and slowly strike up a friendship again. Sai goes to Chennai for his mother's medical procedure, with the assistance of Shiva. Shiva supports him but the situation suddenly changes when Sai presents “Sundari” as his romantic interest; only to find her to be his former wife, Shiva.

Though Shiva and Sundari’s marriage ended due to misunderstandings, both men still harbor feelings for her. Sundari also has a hard time choosing amongst them, which winds things up when her father insists that she should move to Canada. At a party, Shiva and Sai get drunk and confess their love for Sundari, which leads to yet another quarrel between them.

In between, Sai's mother is reported missing, so they set their enmity aside for the moment. As soon as they find her, they both decided to let Sundari make up her own mind. However, in an unexpected turn of events, Thiripurasunthari returns after meeting with Sai's mother. Remembering their lost love from childhood, they forget their fight over Sundari.

The movie concludes on a warm note with the entire clan laughing and celebrating a family reunion. A hit film with good humor, romance, and nostalgia, “Pon Ondru Kanden” can now be watched on JioCinema and Hotstar in various languages.
