Shekhar, played by Govinda is an aspiring movie script writer struggling to get success and in love with Nisha, played by Raveena Tandon. Nisha’s father arranges her marriage to his friend’s son Vicky but she refuses. Meanwhile Shekhar is urgently called back to his hometown as his marriage is fixed to Sweetie, played by Mahima Chaudhary and her brother’s to his disabled sister. Thinking this is the only good chance to get his sister find a decent groom he agrees to marry Sweetie and returns back. Nisha meanwhile is hell bent on marrying Shekhar and threaten to kill herself. Her father pleads with Shekhar to marry Nisha. Seeing her father’s desperation he agrees but later tells him the truth.


Meanwhile Vicky is furious at his broken engagement with Nisha and tries to kidnap Nisha but unfortunately kills her father. Shekhar now married to Sweetie and Nisha has a son with each of them who look identical and go to the same school. This causes a lot of suspicion and confusion. Meanwhile Vicky gets a face surgery and makes his face like Shekhar’s adding to the confusion. The movie is directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by Smita Thackeray. The music is composed by Sandeep Chowta, Aadesh Shrivastav and Sukhwinder Singh.
