The Diplomat is one of the recently released movies of the drama-thriller genre. This new film’s story is based on the real-life story of an Indian diplomat, J.P. Singh, who has been transferred to Pakistan and his life gets transitioned upon the arrival of Uzma Ahmed on 5th May, 2017. Uzma, who is a distressed woman, claims abduction to Buner and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), and gets forcefully married to Tahir, who is a Pakistani resident Tahir and prior to her marriage, she starts to suffer from verbal as well as physical abuse. On top of that, her life becomes miserable when she comes to know that her daughter is suffering from a rare disease known as ‘thalassemia.’ Her unexpected entry into Pakistan with the help of Tahir immediately raises Singh’s suspicion, who initially doubted on her, that she could be a spy. Further, as the story progresses, it shows her arrival at the Indian Embassy with Tahir, wherein Uzma seizes a moment to plead for help. Then, Singh interrogates her and tries to investigate about her background in detail. Later, his efforts lead him to indulge with the Pakistani authorities’ officials, namely Foreign Secretary Faraz and ISI Director General Malik. What will happen further? How will Singh unravel their reality? Can he reveal their evil plans? This is one of the recent movie releases that has entertained the audiences with its drama, thrill and suspense blended along with an unpredictable storyline.
