Aiyampettai Arivudainambi Kaliyaperumal Chandran, a graduate seeking his first job, is advised by his doctor to adopt values that Sriramachandramurthy holds dear, including wearing a Nehru jacket, stating his name, and honouring his parents. Sriramachandramurthy is impressed; he hires him right away. Chandran acts like his mother's widow one day, and goes to a football game with his friend Sriramachandramurthy. He gets dismissed from his initial position and lies about finding Indran, his twin, without a moustache. He then hires Indran to teach music to his daughter, Sarojini.
Working as a staff member and instructing Sarojini, Chandran lives a double life. He falls for a blackmailing youngster named Kattabomman. Chandran finally reveals the truth to Sarojini, but lawyer Charuhasan sues him for hurting Uma. Sriramachandramurthy finally removed his moustache and showed his error to a portrait of Muruga, who regrets his stupidity. The narrative deals with ideas of family, identity, and the results of lies.
Sharpened wit and situational comedy help "Thillu Mullu," a smart and humorous film, flourish. From beginning to end, the movie is an interesting watch thanks to its happy tone, interesting script, and well-timed funny moments. It strikes a balance with absurdity, offers laughs without compromising its emotional core. Still a great comedy that has aged extremely well, it is a wonderful mix of humour and heart.
