"Thirupathi" is a 2006 action Kollywood film directed by Perarasu, starring Ajith Kumar and Sadha in the lead roles. In the story, Trimurti is out for revenge after his pregnant sister dies from the malpractice of a greedy doctor. His search for justice is complicated when he finds out that the doctor is the brother of his best friend and auto driver Soori.

For Trimurti, the story starts with her sister, who is experiencing complications from her pregnancy and needs urgent medical care. Her unfortunate and avoidable death occurs at the hands of a corrupt doctor who knowingly refuses her treatment for not paying a bribe. Angry and grieving, Trimurti takes it upon himself to punish the doctor and execute justice. When he eventually learns that the doctor is Soori’s brother, he is immediately placed in this moral quandary, as Soori is his most devoted friend. While Trimurti’s Arjun goes on the offensive, Soori tries to defend his brother and prevent further bloodshed, creating animosity between the two best friends.

While Trimurti pursues his revenge plan, he runs into conflicts with Soori, who is stuck between his friendship and family loyalty. Through Trimurti’s journey, the film portrays his fight to control his anger and his relationship with Soori’s character as he attempts to find justice for his sister. This struggle for truth and revenge leads to a powerful confrontation that challenges the concepts of friendship and justice.

"Thirupathi" would make a heady combination of intense action and tear-jerking emotional drama, backed by super performances, most notably from Ajith Kumar. Perarasu’s dynamic direction makes sure that the plot never first slows down, packing in all the usual commercial staples, from high-octane action sequences to thunderous, rivalry-setting dialogues. Though the plot is boilerplate revenge formula stuff, the film’s emotional centre and Ajith’s larger-than-life screen presence keep it lively and vibrant enough for fans of mass action dramas.
