“Thug Life” is a much-awaited Tamil gangster action movie, helmed by Mani Ratnam who co-writes the screenplay along with Kamal Haasan. The production has been distributed jointly under Red Giant Movies, Madras Talkies, and Raaj Kamal Films International. The lead character is performed by Kamal Haasan along with Silambarasan, Trisha Krishnan, Ashok Selvan, and Aishwarya Lekshmi. The music composed by the Oscar-winning AR Rahman added another layer of brilliance to the much-awaited, soon-to-hit the screens film.
The story of “ Thug Life" is based on the revengeful path of Rangaraaya Sakthivel Naicker, played by Kamal Haasan, amidst a world of power, betrayal, and violence. The film will be a gangster drama with intense action sequences and performances. Haasan is seen with a rugged beard and a fiery look as he takes on the powerful enemies in his life.
The film features another significant protagonist in the form of Silambarasan, with contrasting moments depicting the celebration of the vibrancy of Holi in one frame and then suddenly jumping into brutal combat. A teaser is also featured showing a younger version of Kamal Haasan in sunglasses, thereby giving a fresh dimension to the story.
With masterly direction coming from the pen of Mani Ratnam and the unparalleled presence of Kamal Haasan, Thug Life promises to be a film of cinematic splendor. It interweaves varied tale weavings on loyalty, revenge, and survival within a harsh gangster regime.
