Aparajita Auddy is set to portray a powerful new role in the upcoming Bengali film Bansara. The actress plays the character of Rajmata, and her look from the film has already sparked curiosity.


Directed by Atiul Islam, the film is being shot on a grand scale, with picturesque locations in the hills of Purulia and an elaborate set that includes a 40-foot goddess statue and painted mud houses.

Bansara tells the story of a mysterious village nestled deep in a jungle, named after its forest goddess who protects and punishes with her own hands. Aparajita will be seen in a grey-shaded, possibly negative role, while Bonny Sengupta and Tanishi Mukherjee also play key parts. Tanishi portrays the childhood version of Aparajita’s character.
