In a deeply unsettling incident, TV actress Soumi Har Chowdhury, once seen on Star Jalsa shows, was found wandering in a mentally unstable condition near the Burdwan-Arambagh State Highway No. 7. Dressed in a black shirt and shorts, with disheveled hair and incoherent speech, Soumi caught the attention of locals who initially mistook her for a vagabond.

When approached, she claimed to be a Star Jalsa actress and said she had come from Behala to Bolpur. Though her responses were confusing, locals eventually identified her through social media as Soumi Har Chowdhury, known for her roles in supporting characters on Bengali television and stage. She was last seen in the serial Tumi Aase Pase Thakle and was reportedly active with a drama group as recently as January 2025.
