Both of them participated in Fame Gurukul. But Arijit Singh made a name for himself despite being eliminated earlier. He is working in different languages. Currently, he is one of the best singers in India. But on the other hand, despite winning that reality show, Ruprekha Banerjee somehow lost. But why? After all this time, Ruprekha herself revealed the reason.

What did Ruparekha say?

In an interview given to Bengali Music Directory, while talking about why she couldn't survive in Bombay despite winning the reality show, Ruprekha Banerjee said, There is a serious politics in Bombay. The lobby is also serious. Entering that lobby and working, releasing a good song, and fulfilling your dream is not something that happens to everyone. There are many processes. It didn't happen for her because of the lobby. In Ruprekha's words, 'Maybe it wasn't my luck. Maybe it was my bad luck.'

How did Arijit Singh manage to do it?

Ruprekha gave an overview of this. Arijit Singh struggled a lot. He built himself up by breaking himself down. He had financial difficulties. The opportunity he got day after day was to build himself up by breaking himself down. He was in Pritam's studio day after day. And there he would make recordings, make background music. He has immense talent. Talented since childhood. He worked as an assistant director with Lalit Pandit. He learned a lot from them. Ruprekha could not do the same.
