Directed by Manoj Tapadia, this Friday, the attention is on 26/11 attacks in Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata. Strong performances especially by Kangana Ranaut with cinematography enhanced in the film’s narrative.

Director Manoj Tapadia has done compelling work with the onset of 26/11 attack that has been its subject . Many filmmakers in the past since 2011 have revisited the horrific night with their own perspectives, while Nikkhil Advani’s Mumbai Diaries perhaps had come closest to the incidents, however, Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata has managed to carve out its own identity narrowing its focus to the nurses who became the unlikely heroes in the midst of the blood shed danger.

About Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata plot

Manoj Tapadia has shaped this film capable to hold the audience rapt attention for its two-hour run time and he has largely succeeded. The first half is the two families that the nurse cares for , one is within the hospital walls and the other is waiting for her at home. The duality of her roles has given the film a strong emotional foundation establishing the everyday routine or rhythms of the actress Kangana’s life before the extraordinary circumstances topple over her. Girija Oak, veteran actress Suhita Thatte and Rasika Agashe’s talents stands out overall.

The film revisits the horrific night in Mumbai 18 years ago and through the eyes of the workforce who have contributed in the times of crisis. Right from the vital point that doctors attended to the wounded, in the film, it’s the heart of Kangana Ranaut’s character inspired by real life nurse Anjali Kulthe whose bravery on that fateful night along with her fellow nurses helped save around 400 lives amidst the chaos of the attacks by the terrorists.
