Good Night Lover and Kudumbasthan were both remarkable run and have established them as one of the Tamil Cinema with K. Manikandan being the most dependable and sought after leading actor. In Makkal Kaavalan, Manikandan once again becomes the leading actor in the action drama for the first time.


About Makkal Kaavalan


Makkal Kaavalan is a story of a determined simple man to live with dignity until the corrupt system leaves him with no choice but to surrender or resist. This beautiful storytelling is written and directed by Santosh Kumar. What begins as a struggle for survival grows into something most unexpected forcing him to become the leader he never wanted to be.  The battle intensifies for the price of resistance he pays for and there is a very line between an ordinary man and the people’s protector which begins to disappear. 


In the titular role K. Manikandan will star alongside Vaagai Chandrasekar, A Venkatest, R. K. Vijaymurugan, Shanmugan, Muthusamy, Sabumon, Unni Maya, Divya Sripada to name a few. The film features cinematography by Pratheepan Selvaratnam. Editing is by Arul Moses. Production Design is by Pappanadu C. Uthayakumar. Stunts in the film is by Don Ashok. Sound Design by Anthony Jayaruban and Costume Design and Make Up is by Sureshkumar and Ramachandran respectively.
