Actor Dino Morea is facing scrutiny from the Mumbai Police’s Economic Offices Wing (EOW) for his alleged connection to the Mithi River desilting scam that involves a humongous amount of sixty-five crore rupees’ misappropriation.
The allegations suggest inflated equipment rental charges by BMC officials and others. While, the authorities are investigating Dino Morea’s involvement with these individuals as well as these transactions. This case centres around the alleged misappropriation of an amount of more than sixty-five crore rupees. Authorities originally meant these funds for the cleanliness and maintenance of the Mithi River, a vital drainage artery of the city.
About the Mithi River Scam
Some investigative reports claim the scam inflated charges for silt-clearing and dredging equipment rentals. BMC officials, including Kadam and Jay Joshi, had allegedly overbilled for Matprop-provided machinery. The EOW suspects collusion between Matprop’s officials and the BMC’s SWD officials.
Moreover, Dino’s involvement in the case is currently in the scrutiny phase; authorities are seeking clarity on his connections and transactions.
Dino Morea’s Work Front Update
While Dino Morea last appeared in the web series ‘The Royals,’ where he shared the screen with Zeenat Aman, Bhumi Pednekar, Ishaan Khatter and Nora Fatehi. Also, he will appear in the upcoming film, ‘Housefull 5.’

Sajid Nadiadwala will produce and script the film. Its cast includes Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Fardeen Khan, Riteish Deshmukh and Jacqueline Fernandez in the key roles. The makers have scheduled the film’s theatrical release on 6th June, 2025.
