At WAVES 2025, Chairperson of Reliance Foundation Nita Ambani expressed her gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the first WAVES Summit held in 2025 with the initiative from the government. The WAVES 2025 has already created a storm by bringing together the creative voices from over 100 countries across the world to one common stage.
Nita Ambani emphasised on India’s cultural richness, the blend of sacred traditions with the modernity we have adopted. India’s contributions to global wisdom, soft power. She praised Shri Modi for his vision to enhance the country’s global voice. She expressed that it was Artificial Intelligence meeting the Ancient Intelligence.
Nita Ambani further shared that for centuries, India has gifted wisdom to the world, its beauty and its soul. That our voices were softened over the years but now it will rise again and for that we owe it to Narendra Modi for the pride and purpose and his vision with unwavering leadership to reignite India’s voice across to the world.
WAVES 2025 Summit is a powerful reminder of where India stands today and who we are and who we have always been. Nita highlighted that she was a proud citizen of India, the ancient land and is pleased to take India to the world.
Long before the influence of the internet or even the cinema, India had its rich culture which has spread across the globe. Therefore, taking India forward with a new concept is not new or a new idea. Hundreds of Buddhist monks all over the world have travelled on foot to India in ancient times in search of spiritual and cultural enlightenment.
Nita Ambani observed, in Japan and Indonesia, Hindu deities are worshipped even today. She made a mention of the splendor of Indian temple’s architecture is seen in countries like Cambodia at WAT, Indonesia’s Borobudur and in the ruins of Cham temples in Vietnam. That Indian philosophy has spread worldwide and has left a deep imprint on some of the greatest philosophers of the world.
The Chairperson of one of the biggest industries we have in India, Nita Ambani said we are a country enriched with the wisdom and energy. A country where sacred traditions meet the modern dynamism with a perfectly sync with each other. The rising economy will soon make India the third-largest in the world with its soaring global soft power.
She emphasised on the nation that gave the world the wisdom of Vedas, the Bhagwat Gita and the teachings of Gautam Buddha and Mahatma Gandhi. In India, Bharat is where it all began. She continued that our theatre, dance, music, cinema, writers, artists or artisans have won the hearts of millions across the continent and in every corner of the globe.
Like all Indians, she stated, Reliance Foundation is are great admirer and will always be an ardent supporter and lover of art in every form. She said Reliance Foundation deeply believe in the power of our culture to heal, inspire and unite. The Foundation will regard it as its highest duty to protect, preserve, revive and honour the priceless artistic legacy.
Nita Ambani emphasised on starting the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre which was started two years ago. It had a clear vision to showcase the best of India to the world and bring the best of the world to India.
Swadesh which was started by the Ambani’s had the same vision. A movement to encourage and promote India's old arts and crafts on a global platform.
India has a perfect blend of modern and ancient which co-exists with harmony and that is what sets Indian culture apart from the rest of the world. The country has honoured traditions and welcomed new transitions. Cherished similarities and celebrated the differences. India with its global presence for centuries, has gifted the world its wisdom, its beauty and its soul.
Nita emphasised on India’s spirit and its cultural diplomacy with digital inclusions. From Yoga to Chandrayaan to G20 to WAVES, India has its unwavering spirit to inspire the world like never before. She can envisage young Indians embracing our roots and taking our spirit forward to bring India to the world stage. India has been on the global page with sports, to concerts, to films to fashion to global kitchens to international dance and more.
Once again with bringing the WAVES 2025, Prime Minister Modi has reignited the voice of India on the world stage with his unwavering leadership a vision for a better tomorrow with pride and a purpose of a big change in the media and entertainment sectors.
Nita Ambani expressed the spiritual aspect to the virtual and that the world is obsessed with speed but without forgetting the value of the stillness, the world has raced with AI -Artificial Intelligence but urged the Summit not to lose the wisdom of the AI which stands for Ancient Intelligence. Instead imagine a world that combines the data driven by the Dharma. Our choices should be with a collective consciousness whereby progress is defined not just by power but also for a purpose and humanity.
