Director Raj Chakraborty is set to release a new film once again. The name is ‘Hok Kolorob’. Its first motion poster has already been released and now the audience is waiting to see what the next surprise will be.
The story of the film ‘Hok Kolorob’ is based on student politics. The film will feature political tension, the unrest of the contemporary student community and many more. It is expected that this new film by Raj can give a new experience to the audience.
The context of this film is taken from a true incident. The tragic death of Jadavpur University student Swapnadeep Kundu created a huge stir in the state in 2023. It was alleged that his death was due to torture and ‘ragging’ by former students. This was a significant concern regarding safety in the education sector. Raj Chakraborty is now going to highlight this incident on his screen, trying to bring the issue to the fore again through the film.
Saswata Chatterjee plays an important role in the film. This is not the first time he has played an important role in films like 'Proloy' and 'Abar Proloy', directed by Raj before. Chatterjee plays the lead role in the new film, along with Subhashree Gangopadhyay, Om Sahani, John Bhattacharya, Rohan Bhattacharya, and Abhika Malakar.
Over the past few years, Raj Chakraborty has focused on producing thematic films in addition to commercial ones. His famous films 'Habji Gabji' and 'Santan' have left a mark on the audience. It is believed that 'Hok Kolorob' will also be a new addition in that vein.
On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, Raj and Subhashree performed the Mahurat Puja of the film. Other stars of the film were also present at this time. After the puja, the film's artists laughed and joked in a joyful atmosphere in Raj's office. A special workshop was also organized to prepare for the film. However, Raj did not reveal anything special about his new project yet.
Subhashree Gangopadhyay is currently basking in the success of the film 'Dhumketu.' But her busy schedule is not over. Now she is preparing for the film 'Hok Kolorob.' Currently, she spends her free time with her two children, Yuvan and Yalini.
