Coming together for the first time, sharing screen space, Ranbir Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan will soon be seen in the epic mythological tale of Ramayan. Kapoor will be seen as Lord Ram while Roshan will be seen as the villainous Raavan. The decision was jointly taken in a closed door meeting reportedly where filmmakers like Nitesh Tiwari, Namit, and Madhu Mantena were present and it took place in Namit Malhotra’s office. The age-old tale will be presented in a very unique fashion with modern technology and effects that will resonate with the youth as well as make an impact globally. The makers are however yet to zero in on who will play Ram’s wife Sita.

With cinema halls opening all over Maharashtra on October 22, 2021, filmmakers are locking dates for their film releases left right and center. Meanwhile Ramayan was reportedly planned to be made on a huge scale with a budget of 300 Crores. But now the makers want to increase the budget and are ready to make the film on an even more massive scale and tell this epic story. Meanwhile Ranbir Kapoor will next be seen in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra opposite Alia Bhatt while Hrithik Roshan has Fighter opposite Deepika Padukone.
