The ambitious mythological saga of Ramayana Part 2 has begun work on the massive sets.  Director Nitesh Tiwari’s epic franchise is all set with the shooting that has been resumed. Actor Ranbir Kapoor has also returned to the sets after wrapping up his commitments with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for his upcoming film Love and War. 


Pictures went viral online showing Ranbir Kapoor in a casual athletic look. He appeared with a clean-shaven look with a cap and interacted with his fans and crew members. Meanwhile Malhotra has also been seen on the elaborate sets in which he has shared a glimpse from the location with the caption that hinted at the start of his mythological magical journey again. 


Part 2 of Ramayana epic film 


The new schedule of Ramayana Part 2 is reportedly exploring the dramatic events following the abduction of Sita which is a crucial turning point in the legendary tale. 


The upcoming film is expected to bring several stars cast together. Sunny Deol plays the role of Lord Hanuman is likely to join the shoot only after he has completed his film with A R Murugadoss. The ensemble of Ravi Dubey as Lakshman and Yash as the powerful Ravana. 


Parts of the sequel part 2 has already been filmed earlier before the team took a pause and focus on the production to complete Ramayana Part 1, which is slated for its release in Diwali 2026. The rough cut of the first part of the instalment was screened for a selective audience in Los Angeles and the reactions were very encouraging.   The second part of the film is to be released around 2027 Diwali. 


Meanwhile Love and War starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal is ready for its theatrical release.
