The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has sent a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi calling for such filmmakers (makers of Sardaarji 3) to be prosecuted under sedition law. Other than the abbreviated run in Delhi, the Punjabi-language film starring Diljit Dosanjh and Pakistani actress Hania Aamir is now scheduled for an overseas release on June 27, skipping Indian theatres altogether.
Punjabi film Sardaar Ji 3 is called an affront to India’s dignity over cross-border casting
FWICE described the film as a willful affront to the sovereignty and dignity of India, with particular reference to the recent terror attack on Indian forces in Pahalgam. The union condemned the casting of a Pakistani actor, given the neighbours’ long-standing hostilities, and labelled as “anti-national” the decision made by the producers.
Film union urges PM Modi to act against the movie for hurting Indian sovereignty

First, the body has called on the central government to look into whether the film breached any certification standards and requested that the film, where necessary, be thoroughly prohibited from being shown at all. FWICE has always been against Pakistani artists working on Indian productions and further argues that such joint productions violate India’s cultural sovereignty. Those may raise a revolt, let's see what happens next with the movie Sardaar Ji 3
To date, the administration has not released an official rejoinder, but the dustup is making waves through industry and social media circles. Will the movie Sardaar Ji 3 affect the stardom of Diljit?
