Bharat Kapoor’s career span across three to four decades.
Bharat Kapoor had steadily built a strong career with his impacting and supporting roles. He had also played antagonist roles. He has some very notable films to his credit from 1970, 1980 and in the 1990’s which included films like Noorie, Ram Balram, Love Story, Bazaar, Ghulami, Aakhri Raasta, Satyamev Jayate, Swarg, Khuda Gawah , Rang to name a few. His performance added depth to the narratives making him a very dependable supporting actor.
In his later years he continued with the roles in films like Barsaat, Saajan Chale Sasural. Beyond films Bharat Kapoor also had made a mark on television with his shows such as Saans, Amanat, Campus, Kahani Chandrakanta Ki. He was a versatile actor across mediums and portrayed authoritative layered character roles ranging from villains to a police office or a lawyer.
Though he rarely had the spotlight on him he performed consistently that earned him the respect within the film industry.
Bharat Kapoor breathed his last around 3.30 pm at Sion Hospital in Mumbai. His final rites were performed same evening attended by his family member and friends from the film industry. He has been unwell past few days and had multiple organ failure leading to his demise.
