Biography
Asif worked in films and television serials and is best known for his Western role in the film Outsourced. He has appeared in many films, but he had a very short-lived career.
Asif Basra acted in Anurag Kashyap’s Black Friday and in Parzania by Rahul Dholakia which were much appreciated. He appeared in One Night with the King with Omar Sharif and Peter O'Toole, both veteran actors. He essayed a role of a tailor in the film Lamhaa and in the film Once Upon a Time in Mumbai as Shoaib’s father which was essayed by Emraan Hashmi.
Basra was also known for his theatre performance in Mahatma v/s Gandhi, Main Bhi Superman and Horatio in Hamlet. He did web series like Pataal Lok streaming on Amazon Prime and in the series Hostages on Hotstar. Basra has also worked not only in Hindi films but also in Gujarati, Tamil, and Malayalam. He was last seen in the 2021, web series The Family Man released on Amazon Prime Video.
