Harshad Chopda lost his mother after she battled with cancer for several years. His father is Prakash Chopda. He has one sister named Harsha Chopda and a brother named Rahul Chopda.

Harshad Chopda is the recipient of several accolades which include six Indian Television Academy Awards, three Indian Telly Awards, and two Asian Viewers Television Awards.   Harshad is one of the highest-paid actors on Indian television. 

Harshad had made his acting debut in 2006 with Mamta.  He later had a wider audience for his portrayal as Prem Juneja in Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil and in Tere Liye as Anurag Ganguly.  

Harshad Chopda had started his career in television in 2006 on Zee TV in the serial Mamta, where he played the role of Karan Srivastav. Between 2006 and 2007 he had played the role of Cadet Ali Baig in SAB TV’s Left Right Left.   Followed by Amber Dhara a popular serial on Sony TV.  His other serials are  Tere Liye, after the success of Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil which was aired between 2008 and 2010.  He was awarded the Best Actor in the Leading Male Role

Between the years 2011 to 2012 he was in NDTV Imagine’s Dharampatni, followed by the serial Dil Se Dil Dua, Saubhagyavati Bhava and in Humsafars.  In 2017, Harshad made his debut in 2016 The End, where he played Rahul. In the film he had co-starred with Priya Banerjee, Divyendu Sharma and Kiku Sharda. 

Harshad established himself as a leading actor in the serial Bepannah in 2018, wherein he played Captain Aditya Hooda. 

In 2020, Harshad starred in Stebin Ben’s song Juda Kar Diya opposite Erica Fernandes. He was a part of the musical series Aakhiri Mulaqaat which covered a total of four songs opposite Smriti Kalra.  

From 2021 to 2023, he played the role of Dr Abhimanyu Birla in the famous television serial, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.  His performance in the serial has earned him accolades in the form of five Indian Television Academy Awards for Best Actor Popular Drama. 

Between 2024 and 2025 and he is currently portraying the role of Rishabh Kapoor in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain opposite Shivangi Joshi. The tele show aired in June this year.

Harshad Chopda was ranked in The Times of India’s Most Desirable Men List. He ranked at 16th in 2017, 8th in 2018 and 8th in 2019.    Harshad was also placed among 50 Sexiest Asin Men List by Eastern Eye.  He was also listed 19th in 2018 and 6th place in 2018.  In 2023, He was placed at 30th in Eastern Eye’s Top 50 Asian Stars of 2023.
