Harshvardhan is fluent in English, Hindi, Telugu and Marathi.

Harshvardhan Rane primarily worked in debut films whereby he also made his debut in the Telugu film Thakita Thakita in 2010. He made his debut in Hindi film Sanam Teri Kasam in the year 2016. He received the Male category from Stardust for the Superstar of Tomorrow Award.

Rane did films like Prema Ishq Kaadhal in 2013, Anaamika and Maya both in 2014 and Taish in 2020 for which he received a lot of praise for his portrayal as a gangster in the film. He was also a part of the 2021 film Haseen Dilruba as the adventure lover 

Harshvardhan has many films to his credit mainly in Telugu films opposite Genelia D’Souza in the film Naa Ishtam, followed by Avunu opposite Poorna. Rane has every bit of the new brook rockstar. His other films significant in Telugu are Anaamika, Brother of Bommali, Geethanai, and then Rane played a cameo role in Bengal Tiger. 

He also did a cameo in Fidaa opposite to Sai Pallavi. In 2018, Rane did two films, J.P. Datta’s Paltan opposite Monica Goll wherein he essayed the role of Maj. Harbhajan Singh and portrayed a role of a kidnapper in the film Kavacham. 

In 2020, Harshvardhan Rane cameo in the film Taish opposite to Sanjeeda Sheikh. His role as the gangster was much applauded and created an impact on the screen.

Rane also played the lover alongside of Taapsee Pannu in the film Haseen Dilruba which was a super hit Netflix film. The actor had only one release in the year 2022. He portrayed the role of an advocate in Tara Vs Billal starring with Sonia Rathee. After short break in his career, he bounced back in 2024 in the film Dange and with Divya Khosla Kumar he played a role in the film Savi as her Savi’s husband.

The actor also has to his credit a role of football player in the film, The Mirinda Brothers alongside of Meezaan Jafri and Jennifer Piccinato. 

Harshvardhan Rane’s Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat released on October 21st 2025, crossed the 20-crore mark within the third day of its released. The film is directed by Milap Zaveri and is written by Mushtaq Shiekh and Milap Zaveri, produced by Anshul Rajendra Garg and Dinesh Jain under the banner of Desi Movies Factory. Starring in the film alongside Harshvardhan Rane is Sonam Bajwa in the lead roles.

The film has earned its highest screenings in Delhi, NCR region with 533 shows followed by 321 shows in Mumbai, 266 shows in Ahmedabad and Hyderabad with 182 shows in Pune, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Surat and Lucknow.

Harshvardhan Rane has a few more upcoming films. Sanam Teri Kasam 2, a romantic sequel of 2026 with the same name released earlier. The film is slated for its release in February 2026 and will be directed by Vinay Sapru and Radhika Rao. The makers of the film have also confirmed the songs that are being composed.

Silaa is another action romance film starring Harshvardhan Rane and Sadia Khateeb. The love story that goes wrong that also features Karanveer Mehra in a villainous role is expected for its release in 2026. The filming of Silaa began in 2025.

The Miranda Brothers is another project that Harshvardhan Rane is involved in with Julio Miranda who is directing the movie. Ambush is a film that is still at the filming stage currently in 2025. Details of which are still underway. 

A few other films that are in the filming stage in 2025 are Tum Hi Ho and K7- The Story of Seven Immortals, which is still an unconfirmed project but is listed in the films by Harshvardhan Rane.
