Medha Rana is in the news as she did her theatrical entry in the upcoming war drama film Border 2 alongside her co-star Varun Dhawan. Medha Rana is best known for her acting debut in London Files by Arjun Rampal. She was one of the young actors who played the lead role in ‘London Files’. Besides Arjun Rampal and Purab Kohli, she essayed the character of Maya Roy. The series was released in 2022 on Voot Select.
Medha featured in the film Friday Night Plan in 2023, which was released on Netflix. The coming-of-age comedy drama was alongside Babil Khan and was written and directed by Vatsal Neelkantan. Produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani for Excel Entertainment.
The film also starred Juhi Chawla, Amrith Jayan, Aadhya Anand, Ria Chaudhary, Ninad Kamat and Aditya Jain.
Medha Rana was also a part of the documentary series for Amazon Prime called ‘Dancing on the Grave’ which was based on a true crime where she essays a real-life character. She has been part of a few music videos such as ‘Barsaat by Armaan Malik, for Aastha Gill’s ‘Dil Kissko Du’, and in ‘ Gul’ by Anuv Jain.
Besides the music videos and films, she has been the face of various brands such as Ponds, Livon, Nescafé and has been part of the television commercials for some of the leading brands. She had started her modelling career in Bengaluru, where her father was posted and had later shifted to Mumbai to pursue her career in modelling and acting.
Since the age of 16, Medha Rana has walked the ramp for Lakme Fashion Week and has been shot for leading fashion designers in the country. Some of the fashion designers she was associated with are Anita Dongre, Manish Malhotra, and Payal Singhal, to name a few.
Border 2 which is a film on the saga of courage and patriotism, is slated for its release on January 23rd 2026.
The sequel to the blockbuster Border, starring Sunny Deol, will once again reprise his role as Major Kuldeep Singh Chandpuri, with Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Pandey. Border 2 is being produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J P Dutta and Nidhi Dutta under the direction by Anurag Singh. Border was a chronicled pivotal chapter of the 1971 India-Pakistan War and had emerged as one of the highest-grossing films after its release in 1997.
