Neeru is a director and a producer who worked extensively in Punjabi and Hindi films besides being the highest paid actress of Punjabi films. Neeru Bajwa started her career with Dev Anand’s film Main Solah Baras ki in 1998. She worked in Hindi television and then moved on to make a career in Punjabi films. Neeru since then has worked in films that are commercially successful in Punjabi films. Some of her well-known films are Jatt & Juliet in 2012 and Jatt & Juliet 2 in 2013, Sardaarji in 2015, Laung Laachi in 2018, Shadaa in 2019 and Kali Jotta in 2023 and again in Jatt & Juliet 3 in 2024 which is her most recent. 

She won the PTC Punjabi Film Award three times and received the Critics Award for Best Actress at the Filmfare Awards Punjabi Inaugural for Channo Kamli Yaar Di in 2017. She also made her attempt with her Hollywood debut in the supernatural thriller film, It Lives Inside in the year 2023.

Neeru Bajwa also started her career in Indian Soap Operas in 2005 with Hari Mrich Lal Mirch on DD 1 and acted in the serial Astitva …Ek Prem Kahani on Zee TV followed by Jeet on Star Plus. She was also a part of Guns and Roses on Star One, thus being flexible with her roles.

In January 2013, Neeru Bajwa appeared in the multi-starrer Punjabi film Saadi Love Story which was produced by Jimmy Sheirgill Productions and was directed by Deeraj Rattan. The film starred Diljit Dosanjh, Amrinder Gill and Surveen Chawla. She also paired opposite Diljit Dosanjh in the film Jatt & Juliet 2.

In August 2013, Neeru acted in the film Naughty Jatts which was released along with Binnu Dhillon, Arya Babbar and Roshan Prince. Her film got mixed reviews from the critics. 

Neeru Bajwa featured on YouTube in December 2019 in the first Indian song to have surpassed one billion viewers in the title track of Laung Laachi in 2025

In 2022, Neeru starred in film produced by her called Beautiful Billo. Her sister Rubina Bajwa with whom she shared the screen. Bajwas later acted in Shayar, 5 Dariya, and in Jatt & Juliet 3 starring opposite Dosanjh which went on to be the highest-grossing film at 100 crore, which marked a new record in the Punjabi film industry. 

Neeru Bajwa has hosted Punjabi show Jazba since 2021, and she owns her own production company called Neeru Bajwa Entertainment. Her most recent film is Son of Sardar 2 released on August 1st 2025. She co-starred with multi-star cast such as Ajay Devgn, Chunky Pandey, Ravi Kishan, Deepak Dobriyal, Kubbra Sait, Sharat Saxena, Mrunal Thakur, Roshni Walia, and Sanjay Mishra to name a few.
