Aiyaary the 2018 action thriller film is inspired from the true story on Adarsh Housing Society Scam , written and directed by Neeraj Pandey and produced by Shital Bhatia, Dhaval Gada and Motion Picture Capital and is distributed by Reliance Entertainment , Plan C. Studios, Friday Filmworks and Pen India Ltd. The film landed in hot waters awaiting the certification and was delayed for it’s release.
The film starring Sidharth Malhotra, Manoj Bajpayee, Rakul Preet Singh, Pooja Chopra, Adil Hussain, Kumud Mishra, Naseeruddin Shah and Anupam Kher. The film despite having roped in the top stars of the industry, the makers of the film had to extend the marketing campaign for three weeks and had to repackage it twice for change of dates with a fear of losing viewers.
The plot begins when Major Jai Bakshi (Sidharth Malhotra) in an attempt with conducting the telephone surveillance in South Block of New Delhi over hears a cross connection between a representative of Indian Army Lt. General Gurinder Singh ( Kumud Mishra) attempting to bribe the Army chief Pratap Malik ( Vikram Gokhale) who refuses the offer which angers Gurinder and he threatens to expose the DSD’s existence to the general Public.
The film was with a back drop of Government due to which Ministry of Defense wanted to see the film to ensure protection of Indian Army. The two leading stars are Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee in the lead roles as Army Officers . The plot revolves around Indian Army Officer who is compelled to chase down this protégé when the latter threatens to disrupt the Country’s Government and the Army. The thriller by Neeraj Pandy also includes the honest and dutiful Colonel Abhay Singh (Manoj Bajyapee) when things go twisted for him and his team.
