Devi Chowdhurani is an Indian Bengali-language period action-adventure film directed by Subhrajit Mitra, inspired by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee’s classic novel. The film chronicles the extraordinary transformation of a woman from a wronged village wife into a fearless revolutionary who leads a band of rebels against British oppression in 18th-century Bengal.

Headlined by Srabanti Chatterjee in a powerful titular role, the ensemble cast includes Prosenjit Chatterjee, Sabyasachi Chakrabarty, Alexx O'Nell, and Arjun Chakrabarty. Lavishly mounted and shot across Kolkata and Purulia, Devi Chowdhurani blends history, patriotism, and empowerment into a stirring cinematic experience.

After several delays, the much-anticipated film finally hit theatres on 26 September 2025, bringing to life one of Bengal’s most iconic tales of courage and rebellion.
