Karan Khanna, played by Abhishek Bachchan is an IAF officer. He is happy go lucky and lives his life on his own terms. He is in love with Nisha and hopes to marry her soon. Thus when his leave gets sanctioned he takes a train to meet his family and lover, only to meet a beautiful stranger. He then crosses paths with a beautiful girl called Sahiba, played by Aishwarya Rai who looks distressed and saves her from goons. Soon he finds that Sahiba is attempting suicide and saves her once again and comes to know her real story. He then accompanies her to her home, where everyone mistakes Karan to be Sahiba’s lover. He is unable to tell them the truth and plays along.

 

Soon Sahiba’s family comes to know the truth about Karan and throws him out of their house. Karan goes back to Nisha, only to find that she is engaged to someone else. Meanwhile he is drawn to Sahiba and comes to meet her. They both confess their love to each other and unite.

 

The movie is directed and produced by Raj Kanwar. The music is composed by Jatin-Lalit and Naresh Sharma and the lyrics are written by Arun Bhairav and Sameer. The cinematography is by Ishwar Bidri and the choreography is by Saroj Khan.
