Vijay is the grandson of the wealthy businessman Mr.Saxena.
The former is however, not at all interested in the family
business and wants to pursue his own career. His grandfather
adamantly fixes Vjay’s engagement with his friend’s Hong Kong
returned wealthy daughter Aarti. Vijay is however unable to
forget a girl he saw at the airport and is obsessed about finding
her. Soon he meets the same girl while on a trip to Kashmir and
realizes she is Sona Mathur and is his tour guide. They both fall
in love and spend their days in bliss.
Things take an ugly turn when Vijay and Sona have a horrific
accident, where the former loses his legs. Both are admitted to
the hospital. When Vijay inquires about Sona, he is told that
she has been discharged and left with a man named Kamal who
she loves. This devastates Vijay beyond words and he is hell
bent on finding out the truth. The film is directed by A C
Trilokachander and produced by M M Malhotra and Baldev
Pushkarna. The music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal. The
story is written by Ravi Kapoor, Mohan Kaul and Javed
Siddiqui. The star cast includes Sanjay Dutt, Padmini
Kolhapure, Arun Govil, Kajal Kiran and Shakti Kapoor.
