Dushman(Enemy) is a psychological film directed by Tanuja Chandra, produced by Mukesh  Bhatt starring Kajol in a dual role along with Sanjay Dutt, Ashutosh Rana and released on 29th May 1998.

The story is about Sonia Sehgal /Naina Sehgal(Kajol) who are twins but completely different from each other. One is shy , while the other is an outgoing, fun loving girl.

The police are in search of a cold blooded, sadistic rapist Gokul (Ashutosh Rana) Unfortunately tragedy strikes when he rapes, brutally kills Sonia. He is caught but declared innocent as his girl friend becomes witness and gives a false statement. Naina needs help to seek justice for her twin sister who is raped and she does by overcoming her fears of Gokul and decides to take revenge herself.  She meets Suraj Singh Rathod (Sanjay Dutt) who is a blind military veteran who helps her physically, mentally but they develop some feelings, after an argument with him one day, Naina decides to go after Gokul herself, she lays a trap for him but instead gets caught by him and he ties her up to rape her like he did to her sister.  Fortunately, Suraj’ s timely intervention saves her but he stabs Gokul.  Naina to save themselves from Gokul, kills him.  Thus taking her revenge on the man who had raped and killed her sister.  The film ends on a good note as Suraj and Naina get together.
