A number of threads in the movie are developing. The movie opens in a hospital, where Susheela is getting ready to give birth to her second child. She gives birth to a second daughter, much to the disappointment of her husband Madhu and his family. Raju leaves the hospital without even glancing at the infant.Ratheesh plays the role of the recently transferred police inspector who arrives at the location around midnight and hails a cab driven by Rahim. Rahim puts him down where he requested, but there is a brief argument when Rahim demands 25 Rs. despite the fact that the meter reads 9 Rs. 40 Paise at 2 a.m. Rahim would make any concessions as soon as the housemaids informed him that he was the commissioner. But the inspector gives him the cash he requested.
