As a wife and mother only now, she feels imprisoned but cares for her children and village too much to leave. Rekha is the youngest and wants to be a nurse. Rekha started dating Ravi, but their families did not approve of their reunion.

Despite the odds, Rekha worked hard and got a scholarship to go to the city to study nursing. One day, Rekha, Vimala and Susheela met at the festival in the village and decided to start a movement to help women in their village. They started a health camp to help educate the village women about health and educational needs. In time, the village begins to change, and the attitudes towards women start to evolve. Rekha comes back as a nurse, having completed her studies, Vimala was still teaching, and Susheela grew to be a village leader. Together, they inspired the whole village to support the dreams and freedom of women.
