Kirpaan.. the sword of honour' is a family drama containing aspects such as patriotism, loss of identity among today's youth, family values, family honour, life's purpose, friendship, and love. It is the story of the character Beeru, a young Punjabi college student living a carefree and purposeless existence who, as a result of his casual attitude, disappoints his parents and loses the love of his life. The rest of the story follows him as he rediscovers his own identity in the world and rediscovers his purpose in life. It's the story of Beeru, who, after causing his parents embarrassment, decides to work for his family's honour.
