Priya, played by Preity Zinta comes from a very close knit and happy family. She lives with her mom, dad and three brothers. Her childhood friend Ajay falls in love with her but is unable to confess to Priya. She however considers him only as a good friend. Meanwhile in her new college, Priya falls in love with the wealthy and handsome Rahul. He is however a womanizer and Priya’s brother dislikes him. On several occasions, her brother sees Priya with Rahul and gets furious but she tells him that Rahul isn’t what they assume him to be and to leave her alone as she knows what she is getting into.
One day things take a drastic turn when Priya gets intimate with Rahul. She soon learns that she is pregnant. She panics and doesn’t know what to do. The only person she thinks of is Rahul and thus goes and tell him. Rahul is furious and tells her to leave him alone as he has nothing to do with the child or her. A devastated and horrified Priya goes back to her family and tells them the truth. Her family initially angry at her sympathizes with her. She decides to keep the baby and Ajay even decides to marry her and accept the baby as his.
Priya accepts Ajay’s proposal and decides to marry him. Rahul then realizes his mistake and asks for forgiveness from Priya but this time she rejects him and publicly announces her love for Ajay.
The movie is directed by Kundan Shah and produced by Kumar S Taurani and Ramesh S Taurani. The music is composed by Rajesh Roshan.
