Amar, played by Sunil Shetty, lives in Banaras where he owns a video library and dreams of becoming a filmmaker. His father however, isn’t happy with his ambitions and is reluctant about his career option. However, Amar makes up his mind to pursue his goals and sells his video library to join a film institute in London. He finishes his course and comes to Mumbai to make a film.

Amar struggles to find a producer for his first film and runs from pillar to post to show his potential as a filmmaker. Finally he comes across Monty, played by Rakesh Bedi, who is a publicist and decides to produce his films. Meanwhile Monty and Amar ask Guptaji to help them convince actress Mohini, played by Udita Goswami to play the lead in their film, who later agrees with her mother’s advice.

Amar’s film begins on a good note but suddenly one day, Monty disappears and Amar gets a call from a dreaded don that he is financing his movie and his girlfriend must be cast in the lead. Leaving him no choice Amar does as told but news comes of the don being shot dead and Monty shows up and decides to make Amar’s film a magnum opus with star writer Mr. Baig, played by Om Puri on board. He changes the entire film into something else, taking over all control of the film. What follows is a hilarious twist and turn of events and a broader picture of how movies are overall made in Bollywood.

The movie is directed by Rajnish Raj Thakur and produced by Narendra Singh. The music is composed by Sukwinder Singh, Subash Pradhan, Parvez Qadir and Rajendra Shiv.
