This movie is directed by Aditya Chopra, produced by Yash Chopra, released on the 27th of October 2000. It stars Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Uday Chopra, Jimmy Shergill &Jugal Hansraj.
The Gurukul Headmaster Narayan Shankar (Amitabh Bachchan) works for a prestigious boy’s School, believing that his student follows Honour, Discipline & Traditions. Three boys Sameer (Jugal Hansraj), Vicky (Uday Chopra) & Karan (Jimmy Shergill) fall in love with girls in the neighbouring college which upsets Narayan Shankar. Narayan Shankar does not believe in love and is much against this which also makes him fall apart with his daughter.
Raj Aryan Malhotra is hired as a music teacher, believes in the power of Love. He was a student in the same school who was in love with Narayan Shankar’s daughter Megha (Aishwarya Rai) but commits suicide because she is not allowed to meet him. Raj returns only to spread love in the school, challenging Narayan Shankar that before he leaves, he will change his views.
In the end Narayan Shankar keeps pondering on Raj’s words. Tearfully he realises his mistake, apologising to the students, he resigns, nominating Raj as his successor.
