Raj, played by Hrithik Roshan, Pooja, played by Rani Mukerjee and Tina, played by Kareena Kapoor are close childhood friends. Raj is attracted to Tina, while Pooja is attracted to Raj. While Raj’s family moves to England he promises to keep in touch. He thus takes Tina’s email address and mails her regularly. Tina who is lazy and bored to keep replying to emails, asks Pooja to reply on her behalf. All the while Raj keeps thinking Tina is replying and falls in love with her while Pooja who has been communicating on Tina’s behalf falls deeply in love with Raj.
Many years later when all the three friends grow up, Raj finally comes back to India and thinks he is in love with Tina as she was writing back to him. Soon their families arrange for their engagement. Pooja who silently watches everything is heartbroken but has no choice but to keep quiet. Soon Raj learns the truth and is furious at Pooja for telling him that it was her he is in love with and not Tina, but she knows that Tina adores Raj and cannot break her friends heart. Soon Pooja is also engaged to Rohan, played by Uday Chopra. After a while Rohan learns the truth and makes Pooja confess the truth to her family.
The movie is directed by Kunal Kohli and produced by Yash Chopra and Aditya Chopra. The music is composed by Babloo Chakravarty and Rahul Sharma.
