Professor Vidyadhar is a simple man teaching Hindi in a renowned college and lives with his wife and son. His life has been the same with nothing really exciting or anything to look forward to until a new neighbor moves into the house upstairs in their building. She is a young pretty actress by the name of Menaka. The professor is stunned by the charm but his wife Shobha doesn’t find her amusing to say the least. In fact she detests her and tells her to her face. Menaka doesn’t take this humiliation sitting down. She swears revenge on Shobha and thus decides to seduce Vidyadhar and succeeds.
When his wife finds out she is furious. But before she can take any action on her husband, Vidyadhar consumes a portion that makes him invisible thus saving him from his wife’s fury. Later the professor is horrified to learn that Menaka also has two younger suitors who will do anything to get her. The movie is directed by Shatilal Soni and produced by Kant Kumar. The music is composed by R D Burman and the lyrics are written by Gulshan Bawra. The star cast includes Sanjeev Kumar, Padmini Kolhapure, Asha Parekh, Deven Verma, Dalip Tahil, Abhi Bhattacharya, Aruna Irani and Vasantsena.
