Birju and Shambhu have been childhood friends. As they grow up take up the profession of being small time thugs. Their thefts grow bigger by each year. One day they come to know of a precious diamond necklace. They both hatch a plan to steal it. Once stolen successfully, Birju gets greedy and wants to have the entire share of the stolen necklace. He thus informs the police that Shambhu is the culprit, thus getting him arrested. After many years the two meet again and come to know of precious priceless diamonds hidden in a village. The place where the diamonds are buried are only known to a mute child. This Shambhu turns into a priest while Birju a cop to win the trust of the child. The film is directed by Sikandar Khanna and produced by Som Dutt. The music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal. The star cast includes Sunil Dutt, Reena Roy, Amjad Khan, Daljit Kaur, Rakesh Kumar, Bharat Bhushan, Shakti Kapoor, Raj Kishore, Dev Kumar, Rajendra Naik, Shiv Kumar, Asit Sen, Tun Tun, Jagdish Raaj and Nandita Thakur.
