Balajeet aka Bala, played by Sanjay Dutt is a software engineer, happily married to Nisha, played by Celina Jaitley, who is pregnant with his child. One day out of no where a group of goons nab him and throw him into captivity. He is kept there in isolation for 14 long years without a single explanation or knowing who did this to him. He spends his time watching and learning martial arts on TV to prepare to fight the people who did this to him. He is finally released without a single explanation again. Bala now seeks only revenge.

He befriends a taxi driver named Jenny, played by Lara Dutta in Bangkok and tries to find the people who kept him captive. He traces his way to the restaurant who served him food during his 14 years and tortures the owner for answers. He then gets injured during a fight and is saved by a man called Rohit Chopra, played by John Abraham. He then takes refuge at Jenny’s place and later learns that the man who kidnapped him is none other than Rohit.

He confronts Rohit and learns the reason why he had kept him captive for 14 years. Rohit and Bala were in the same school and Bala liked Rohit’s sister Reema but she rejected him. To take revenge he spread rumors about her being a whore and thus she committed suicide. He kept Bala in isolation as a revenge for his sister’s death. He tells him that he has killed Nisha and sent his daughter to a brothel. It is later revealed that his daughter is safe. The movie is written, directed and produced by Sanjay Gupta and the music is composed by Sanjoy Chowdhury.
