After the India’s digital music space has been redefined for three successful seasons, Coke Studio Bharat is back with its Season 4. A much anticipated with its power packed lined up that is promising a blending of regional sounds with the contemporary expression and deeper musical roots.
The new Season 4 kicks off with, ‘The List’ that is revealing an exciting and a diverse line up of artists who will take the centre stage.
Following the success of Season 3, films like Arz Kiya Hai or the festive favourite such as Holi Aaye Re are the upcoming editions which are aim to dive deeper into the cultural and musical roots of India.
This year’s Season 4 will feature a wider range with a mix of talents including Aditya Rikhari, Mame Khan, Rekha Bhardwaj, Mohammad Faiz and Faheem Abdullah to name a few who will represent the varied regions and the genre of different styles of storytelling.
The highlights of Season 4
Season 4 is defined by a larger spectrum with the varied and wide emotional gamut. It will explore on the themes like devotional, memory, modern love or the longingness. Drawing from the tich traditions of the folksongs such as Rajasthani folk or Kashmiri narratives or with the roots from Banaras story telling or the Punjabi Sufi influence with which the show will continue to celebrate its musica diversity of India while it also presents the contemporary lens.
Rekha Bhardwaj the live performer and singer highlighted that with each generation who reconnect with its roots differently. It has further added to the platform that allows traditions to evolve through collaborations.
Pop Artist and singer, Aditya Rikhari emphasized on the emotional depth of the music while Faheem Abdullah from Srinagar Kashmir has been multi-tasking with being a director, filmmaker, a song writer, singer, a poet, orator and an event manager. He spoke about bringing Kashmiri Storytelling to the national stage.
Backed by Coca-Cola India and the Universal Music Group, the show continues to hold it on the top with its authenticity story telling and with the cross-cultural collaborations. The Season 4 is preparing to roll out track by track that it has promised with the powerful blend of heritage and innovations. It is also all set to resonate with the audience at large in India and beyond.
