Mrunal Thakur is on cloud nine as David Dhawan signs her for his upcoming comic caper film titled ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’, scheduled for its release on October 2nd, 2025. The ‘Love Sonia’ actress is beaming with joy and posing with the filmmaker David Dhawan is going viral. The film with Varun Dhawan, Mouni Roy and Sreeleela.

The film is a fun family entertainer with a love triangle. David has cracked the concept that’s new and innovative. He is confident the film will create the magic of comedies on the big screen once again revealed by a source. The entire ensemble will be coming together for a typical David Dhawan comedy, where the humour is a result of confusion in a man’s love life. The film will have a lot of colours, music and a big starcast.

Varun Dhawan and Mrunal Thakur team up

The team is currently shooting for the film in Glasgow in Scotland, on a month-long schedule. Produced by Ramesh Taurani under the TPS Banner. The star cast includes Jimmy Shergill, Rakesh Bedi, Ali Asgar, Rajeev Khandelwal, Nitish Nirmal, Rohit Saraf and Kubbra Sait.

Mrunal Thakur was a popular face on television before her debut film Love Sonia. She has acted in films like Super 30, Batla House, Ghost Stories, Toofaan and Dhamaka. This will be the first time that Varun and Mrunal will be seen on the big screen together.

Sreeleela plays Varun’s love interest, felt that this David Dhawan comedy film is a perfect launch pad for her in Hindi films. Varun Dhawan will also be seen in the film ‘Citadel’ with Samantha Ruth Prabhu, a film directed by Raj and DK, an Indian adaptation of the international series with the same name.
