Popular film and TV actor Rasik Dave passed away on Friday following a kidney failure. Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit shared a heartbreaking tweet about the actor and wrote, “Sad to know about the demise of a dear friend Rasik Dave who was a versatile actor on stage, tv and films due to kidney failure. Heartfelt condolences to his wife Ketaki Dave and his entire family. Will always be remembered.”

Rasik was the husband of popular Gujarati and Bollywood actress Ketaki Dave. He was popular for playing the role of Nand in the 1980 mythological Television show Mahabharat. Actress Dipika Chikhlia who played the role of Sita wrote, “He was such a fun person and looked a lot like Raj Kiran and Chintuji. May his soul rest in peace. My condolences to his family.”

Rasik Dave began his career in the Gujarati industry with Putra Vadhu. Apart from playing the role of Nand in Mahabharat, he participated in the TV reality show, Nach Baliye with wife Ketki in 2006.
