Bhool Chuk Maaf was supposed to release in theatres on 9th May. While the film will now have an OTT release on 16th May on Amazon Prime Video.


Ahead of the cancellation of the film’s theatrical release, the makers of the movie, ‘Bhool Chuk Maaf,’ have now landed in legal trouble. The national multiplex chain, PVR, has reportedly sued them for abrupting its theatrical release.


PVR’s Official Statement


As per a report by News9Live, the PVR’s CEO stated that this abrupt decision by the makers caused them major financial losses. Also, the trade expert Komal Nahta took to his X (formerly Twitter), wherein a specific part of his tweet read, ‘According to PVR-Inox, Maddock Films suddenly cancelled the film’s release (on 9th May) from the theatres on the account of its poor advance booking.’




While the makers haven’t responded to these allegations by PVR.

The upcoming film is directed by Karan Sharma. Its production is helmed by Dinesh Vijan. Moreover, the film’s starcast comprises of Rajkummar Rao, Wamiqa Gabbi, Sanjay Mishra, Seema Pahwa and Raghubir Yadav in key roles.


Bhool Chuk Maaf will now be releasing on Amazon Prime Video from 16th May, onwards.
