Directed by Siddharth Anand known for his blockbuster films such as Pathaan, War, Fighter, Bang Bang, the King also marks a special milestone for Shah Rukh Khan as he introduces daughter Suhana Khan in her theatrical debut.
A single action sequence has shot across with Rs 50 crore for real locations in Europe. Filmed over a tight 10 days schedule, the sequence cost them Rs, 5 crore per day making it one of the most expensive action sets in Bollywood.
A report suggested that Shah Rukh Khan and Abhishek Bachchan were both a part of the Europe shooting schedule along with the large international crew hired exclusively for the high-octane action scenes which Shah Rukh Khan himself will be actively supervising for the entire action sequences in the film.
Shah Rukh Khan is very involved in designing each sequence as he works closely with Siddharth Anand to look into every detail during the Europe trip to identify the right locations and ensure the feel for the scene is grand and cinematic. SRK said he wanted the audience to witness something truly spectacular as never before on the big screen.
KING has promised to surpass the previous action spectacles.
Besides Shah Rukh Khan himself in the lead role, KING stars, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Suhana Khan. The star-studded star cast weighs further as the makers are locking the Christmas of 2026 for its theatrical release and the shooting is expected to wrap up by June 2026. A Rs. 350 core is budgeted for shaping it and includes its marketing and will be one of the most expensive films for this most unexpected action film ever produced.
