Raja Shivaji the biopic on the life and the legacy of the Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is a much-anticipated historical drama starring Riteish Deshmukh in the lead role. Amid the massive buzz and the record breaking openingnumbers, it set a new benchmark with the biggest opening every in Marathi films. However, the biopic received mixed reviews. Riteish Deshmukh is admired greatly for his contribution to the Indian cinema.


Raja Shivaji Box Office update 


Raja Shivaji box office collection on Day 4 is around 5.6 crore after its four days of release, which is also the first Monday after the release in the theatres. A dip was expected while the biopic had collected 11.35 crore on its opening day. 


Starring Riteish Deshmukh, Genelia D’Souza, Abhishek Bachchan and Vidya Balan, there is a steady momentum during its first weekend bringing the total India gross collections to 46.95 crore. The film had also clashed with Ek Din starring Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi but the two films releasing around the same time.

Riteish Deshmukh took to Instagram thanking with gratitude to the viewers, audience and his fans for watching the film Raja Shivaji and has earnestly requested the viewers in the theatres not to make videos inside the theatre and post it on them online and politely has reprimanded not to do these illegal videos of the film.  He said it’s a humble request not to upload the videos on social media while watching the film.
