Mona Singh was first seen in the very popular soap opera Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin in which Mona Singh as Jassi went on to be one of the most top stars of the television and had won the ITA Awards and one Filmfare OTT Award.Â
Mona Singh also won in the first season of the reality series, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and played the role of Mona Chopra in the television series, Kya Huaaa Tera Vaada, Preet Singh in Pyaar Ko Ho Jaane Do and Parinidhi Bundela in Kavach Kaali Shaktiyon se.
She then had made her Bollywood debut as Kareena’s older sister in the film 3 Idiots which ranked as one of the highest grossing Indian films of all seasons.
Mona Singh earned praises for her role in Yeh Meri Family in 2018, Made in Heaven in 2023. She also won the Filmfare OTT Best Supporting Actress in the Drama Series.Â

Mona Singh ventured in the web series in 2018 with her portrayal as Ananya in Kehne Ko Humsafar Hai. That year she also starred in The Viral Fever and in a Netflix Series. Yeh Meri Family. In 2019 she was seen in ZEE 5 and in ALT Balaji series Mission Over Mars. She also appeared in Black Widows on ZEE5.Â
In 2023, Mona Singh had appeared on Zoya Akhtar’s Made in Heaven as Bulbul Jauhari Singh. She received critical acclaim for her role. She had next appeared as a doctor in Netflix’s serial Kaala Pani.
Beginning of a film career.Â
Mona Singh made her debut in Raj Kumar Hirani’s Hindi satirical comedy 3 Idiots which became one of the biggest hits and one of the highest grossing in Indian cinema. She had garnered praises for her role that was quite small but she had created an impact on the audience who remembered the Jassi girl.Â
She next appeared in Utt Pataang, Zed Plus and Amvas. In 2022, she appeared in Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha wherein she played the role of protagonist’s mother. Despite being 16 years younger than Khan, Singh was excellent in her role.
