Pulkit did his schooling at Manav Sthali School and completed his higher secondary from Montfort Senior Secondary School, Ashok Vihar in Delhi. He joined the advertising course for diploma at Appejay Institute of Design in Delhi. He received his first modelling assignment soon after he had finished his course and thereafter he quit his further studies to shift to Mumbai and joined the acting course run by Kishore Namit Kapoor.
Pulkit born in Shalimar Baagh in New Delhi in a Hindu family hails from Punjab . Family is into real estate business. Loves playing cards and enjoys shopping.
Pulkit Samrat started his career as a model went on to be a television star and later joined the Bollywood film industry.
Pulkit enjoys cooking and is a huge fan of superstar Salman Khan and Ronit Roy whom he considers as his mentors.
He had started his career in television with the role of Lakshya Virani in the long running television serial, by Ekta Kapoor for Balaji telefilms in the popular serial Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi in 2006 from where he got his first recognition but he quit the show in 2007.
He appeared in Vaibhavi Merchant’s musical theatrical Taj Express in 2011.
Pulkit a television actor made his debut with the film Bittoo Boss in the year 2012 . His role was of a wedding videographer from Punjab. However the film did not do well and went un noticed. But he got a lead to get offers in films and went on to do his second film, Fukrey produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. The film was released in 2013 and received positive reviews and the film was a hit.
In 2014, Pulkit did a cameo role as a police inspector in the film Jai Ho. He had a lead role thereafter in the film O Teri produced by Atul Agnihotri opposite Bilal and Sarah Jane Dias.
In 2015 he acted in a film Dolly Ki Doli by Arbaaz Khan opposite Sonam Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao in the lead roles.
Pulkit got more offers and landed himself with another role opposite Yami Gautam in the same year for the film Sanam Re which was a super hit . The hit pair came together again in the film Junooniyat in 2017.
Pulkit Samrat was again seen in the second installment of Fukrey titled Fukrey Returns which was a super success and was a part of the star cast in the films Veerey Ki Wedding, 3 Storey and in Paltan.
His latest and most recent is he has signed a film with Karan Johar for his production Ticket to Bollywood as a co-star with Vicky Kaushal, Amyra Dastur and Shweta Tripathi.
