In 2021, Gayatri acted in You YouTube comedy web series called Dhindora, which had marked her debut in films as an actress.

In 2018 Gayatri was selected as the female lead for the Telugu drama film called Romantic starring opposite Akash Puri. The filmmakers were on the lookout for a fresh face to cast in the film and had found her face appealing. Because of her own experience in modelling, Gayatri was comfortable facing the camera. But unfortunately, she was replaced by Ketika Sharma.

In 2021 Gayatri who had debuted with the web series In Dhindora as Dr Tara Rumpum opposite Bhuvan Ram . Her name in the We series titled Ta Ra Rum Pum happens to be a word plan in 2007.

In 2022, Gayatri Bhardwaj made her Hindi Film debut in the film Ittu Si Baat by Laxman Utekar. She co-starred with Bhupendra Jadawat she portraying as Sapna in the movie.

Gayatri Bhardwaj the Delhi girl had bagged the Deccan Chronicle on 27th November 2018. Gayatri was then paired opposite Ritvik Sahore for the film Ishq Express and her role was of Tanya. She also acted in the film Highway Love as Insta.

Gayatri Bhardwaj has appeared in a Telugu film in her debut role in Tiger Nageshwara Rao with Ravi Teja and Nupur Sanon. She played the role of Mani who essays Tiger’s wife.

She was selected after the director of the film had seen her performance in the web series Dhindora. He found her as a perfect match for the character he had in mind and discussed this with her and instantly offered her the role. The film was released on 2023 October 20th and went on to be a box office hit.

In 2924, she did a few more films and it was the film Buddy wherein she is paired with Allu Srirish. The film was a remake of a Tamil film called Teddy. Released on August 2nd the film and her acting received mixed reviews.

Thereafter Gayatri Bhardwaj acted in the Hindi film called Mohrey in which she essays the role of a lawyer, Baner Rachel Pinto.
