Priyanka Bose is best known for her role in the Italian film Gangor. She started her career with small roles in films like Love Sex Aur Dhokha, Sorry Bhai, Johnny Gaddar and in Guzaarish. Her first lead role was in Gangor which was directed by Italo Spinelli in 2010. She had gained recognition for her performance of a tribal woman in the film and went on to win the best actress award at the New Jersey Independent South Asia Film Festival. The film was adapted from Choli Ke Peeche a short story by an acclaimed Indian writer Mahasweta Devi. Gangor had won several awards.
In 2013 Priyanka Bose had appeared in Tanishq, the jewelry retail brand advertisement . She portrayed as a girl with a daughter who remarries which drew attention . The ad was named ‘ Path Breaking, Courageous, unique and had become a center of talking point on social media.
Priyanka Bose toured the world for the play Nirbhaya written and directed by the South African playwright Yael Farber. The play was based on the 2012, Delhi gang rape. The play won the Scotsman Fringe First Award and Herald Angel Award at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and at the Amnesty International Freedom of Expression Award.
She also played the lead in the Goutam Ghose directorial, Bengali Film Shunyo Awnko with Konkana Sen Sharma. She acted in the film Gulaab Gang wherein she appeared alongside Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawl. Her performance was noted. She was noticed and appreciated for her role in the film Sold by director Jeffery D. Brown. Her next film was Oass directed by Abhinav Tiwari and Oonga by Devashish Makhija.
In the film Lion, Priyanka Bose had co-starred with Nicole Kidman, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Dev Patel. The film was directed by Garth Davis.
Priyanka started her own production company called PaapiPet Pictures which created short format films and music videos. She produced the film Dark and Delicious for Hipnotribe and Bartender with Mikey Mcleary and one for Kailash Kher for Kailasa.
In the year 2016, Priyanka Bose acted in the Marathi film, Half Ticket alongside Bhalchandra Kadam and Usha Naik. The film was a remake of Kaaza Muttai. Half Ticket won award from the Ecumenical Jury Award at the 57th Zlin International Film Festival in 2017 held in Czech Republic. The film was also screened at the Indiwood Panorama Competition in Hyderabad.
Between 2016 and till date, Priyanka Bose has performed with David Arquette in the Hollywood film The Miseducation of Bindu directed by Prarthana Mohan which is produced by Edward Timpe, executive produced by Duplass Brothers. She later appeared in the film Mortal in 2018, directed by Andre Oyredal, co-starring Nat Wolff. Priyanka has been shuttling her travel between Mumbai and Los Angeles to shoot for her forthcoming Indian or International Productions. Between 2021 to 2025, Priyanka portrayed support character Alanna Mosyani in the film The Wheel of Time which is screened on the OTT Amazon Prime Video.
In 2023 Priyanka Bose played the role of Priti a self-assured woman in the film Agra. In the film she is an owner of an internet café and becomes a crucial connect to the protagonist Guru. Directed by Kanu Behl the film is about the dysfunctional, crowded life of a family wherein se navigates sexual repression and the desperate need of her own personal space. As Priti she is a sophisticated working woman, who provides intensity in a claustrophobic environment Priyanka Bose won the Best Actress Award 2026 for Agra at the Critics Choice Awards India.
She is also a winner of FOI Online Awards 2025 for Best Actress in a supporting Role for Agra and won the Zee Chitra Gaurav Puraskar Award in 2017 for the film Half Ticket.
