Gaurav Arora started his career with the film ‘Love Games’ by Vishesh Films released in 2016. alongside of Ramona Raichand, he has portrayed as Sameer Saxena, a depressed rich drug addict. The entire film was shot in Cape Town in South Africa and was an urban thriller directed by Vikram Bhat.

In the same year, Gaurav received his breakthrough in a horror film Raaz Reboot, in which he essayed the lead role of Rehaan Khann, an intense guy. The film earned critical acclaim and his role was well received as he stole the show despite the film having Emraan, an established actor in the film.

Gaurav Arora was also cast in the psychological thriller web series, Asura by Voot. He has worked in theatre while he was grooming himself to be a model. He joined a theatre group and he participated in several plays across the country. Some of the plays he acted in were ‘The night of January 16’, ‘The Mousetrap’ and ‘Then There Were None’. He was one of the winners at the Elle Fresh Face of the year at the 2010 competition and was considered as one of the fittest male models in the 2011 Men’s Health Magazine. Arora is also listed as the most desirable Indian men by Vogue India.

Besides his career in films, he is also one of the top models having worked with leading designers as Manish Malhotra, Rohit Bal, Tarun Tihaliani, Raghavendra Rathore and others. He walked the ramp for major fashion shows held in India by Lakme Fashion Week, India Fashion Week, Amazon India Fashion Week, to name a few. 

As a model, Gaurav Arora also represented India at Overseas in countries such as the United States of America, Dubai, Canada and Thailand. He has endorsed several leading brands which include his commercials on television, such as Gillette, 7 Up, Honda, Maruti Suzuki, Keya Food Products, and for J W Marriot Hotels. He appeared in commercials for the Pakistan brand advertising too. He is given the title of Mega Model and did a short film for GQ the Indian edition named Glow Key shot in Bali in Indonesia, which earned him a title of a top model.

Arora made his web series debut with Broken But Beautiful season 2 (2019), also starring Vikrant Massey and Harleen Sethi, created by Ekta Kapoor for ALT Balaji. He played Ahan Chatterji.
